Brenda Skov, a transplant from Montana now residing in Austin with her husband, Devon, and their German Shepherd/Black Lab, Maya, serves as FLAG’s Program Manager. In this role, she spearheads the development services program, steering the ship towards innovative solutions and enhanced community development services. Beyond her professional endeavors, Brenda indulges her passion for exploration, whether through hiking, travel, or acquiring new skills.

Brenda is deeply enthused about FLAG’s pivotal role in shaping the future of community development services. In her capacity as the leader of the Development Services Change Management teams, she is dedicated to tackling the challenges faced by governments due to complex site plan reviews. Her objective is to improve satisfaction levels among developers and users of the permitting system while significantly curbing costs associated with delays. Brenda’s commitment lies in fostering positive change, ensuring efficiency, and contributing meaningfully to the communities FLAG serves.

When asked the ultimate question of who would win in a fight between Jessy and a grizzly bear, Brenda responded, “Grizzly bears are incredibly powerful and ferocious animals, weighing up to 800 pounds and armed with sharp claws and incredible strength. On the other hand, Jessy, is quite resourceful and resilient, having dealt with challenges in a similar way as the dinosaurs once did and would undoubtedly put up a formidable fight.”
