Who We Are

Front Line Advisory Group (FLAG) is a program management and advisory firm that helps public and private organizations build and operate effective systems. We support local governments, public sector organizations, and complex programs where execution, coordination, and accountability determine outcomes. We do not operate as a distant advisory firm. We work hands on inside our clients’ environments to understand how work is actually happening, identify where systems break down, and implement solutions that align process, technology, and roles. Our focus is execution. The outcome is an operation that continues to perform after we step away

Our Background

At FLAG we are:

  • Service-Disabled
  • Veteran-Owned
  • Small Business (SDVOSB)
  • HUB-certified firm.

Our work is shaped by a background in military service and program management, where clarity, accountability, and disciplined execution are not optional. That background is not a tagline. It defines how we operate.

We are built on three core principles

Focus

Focus means identifying the work that actually drives outcomes and prioritizing it relentlessly.

Discipline

Discipline means building systems that hold up under pressure, not just in ideal conditions.

Service

Service means aligning our work to the needs of both the organization and the communities it serves.

This commitment to service extends beyond our client engagements. Through the FLAG Foundation and our team’s direct involvement, we support community initiatives, mentor students, and contribute to organizations that strengthen the communities we work in, including partnerships with groups like Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs and Texas State University.

These principles show up in how we approach every engagement through direct communication, clear ownership of responsibilities, and a consistent focus on outcomes over activity.

Why It Matters

The organizations we support are responsible for outcomes that directly affect communities, such as how development moves forward, how infrastructure is delivered, and how public resources are managed.
Across the industry, those outcomes are consistently at risk.

90%

of infrastructure projects are late or over budget

20%

20% of large projects take longer than planned & 80% exceed budget

10%

Industry average for on-time, on-budget delivery
At the same time, internal operations that support these efforts, such as permitting, coordination, communication, and decision-making, often struggle with backlog, lack of visibility, and inconsistent execution. These are not isolated issues, but they are symptoms of the same underlying problem: systems that are not designed to function together.

Our work is focused on fixing that, and across both capital programs and operational systems, clients have achieved:

100%

on-time, on-budget delivery

$26.8M

in cost savings, representing nearly 9% of total program budgets

45-54%

increases in throughput across operational teams

133-300%

reduction in permitting rework and review cycle

245%

reduction in work queues, eliminating backlog

$100k+

annual savings & 2,500 hours returned via automation
These results were achieved by bringing structure, clarity, and accountability into how work is accomplished across projects, programs, and daily operations.
When systems work, organizations deliver predictably, and FLAG exists to ensure they work.
